Ukraine’s National Power Company said the recently repaired power lines can meet 15 percent of the electricity demand in Crimea. Ukraine is the major power supplier to the Crimean peninsula but power was suspended in late November after 4 power stations exploded, leaving the region of 2 million people with no power.
Last week, Russia delivered power to the Southern part of Crimea via an underwater cable, but tens of thousands still remained without electricity.
