The Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs said Wednesday that Deputy Foreign Minister Pawel Jablonski summoned Ukrainian Ambassador Vasyl Zvarych to deliver a strong protest against the statements made by President Volodymyr Zelensky at the UN General Assembly, alleging that some EU countries feigned solidarity and criticizing what he called a “political theatre” around grain imports that was ultimately only helping Moscow.

The same day, Poland’s Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said Poland will no longer supply weapons to Ukraine and focus on arming Poland. He even warned that Poland would expand the list of Ukrainian products banned from import if Kyiv continues to escalate the dispute over the grain issue.

Ukraine, in reply, filed a complaint against Poland, Slovakia, and Hungary to the World Trade Organization (WTO). Slovakia and Hungary also extended similar bans. The WTO has confirmed the information.

The Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs clarified that putting pressure on Poland at multilateral forums or submitting complaints to international courts are not an appropriate measure to resolve conflicts between the two countries. Ukraine has called on Poland to adopt a constructive approach to the dispute.
