UN chief to meet Putin, Zelenskiy next week
(VOVWORLD) - United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres will visit Moscow next week to meet Russia's President Vladimir Putin and Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov then head to Ukraine for talks with President Volodymyr Zelenskiy in an attempt to end the Russia-Ukraine conflict.

Eri Kaneko, Guterres' associate spokesperson, told a news briefing in New York on Friday, “For now, we know all we have on the agenda is his working meeting and lunch with the foreign minister and then his reception later on the same day by President Putin."
"You know, as he said in his letter to both Presidents, he hopes to talk about what can be done to bring peace to Ukraine urgently and the future of multilateralism, as both countries are both founding members of the United Nations.”
Guterres will meet with President Zelenskiy and Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba on Thursday, two days after the Russia visit.
