(VOVWORLD) - On Wednesday, the last day of a special session on Ukraine crisis, the United Nations General Assembly passed a resolution calling on Russia to immediately withdraw its troops from Ukraine.

The decision was made with 141 countries of the total 193 UN member states voting in favor, reaching a consensus rate of 73%. China was one of 35 countries that abstained and five votes against were from Russia, Belarus, North Korea, Syria, and Eritrea.
The resolution was adopted after more than 100 UN member states voiced their views during the three-day special session.
