For the first time only Israel and the US voted against the resolution although some South Pacific countries abstained. Many European, Asian, African, and Latin American countries publicly denounced Washington’s unfair policies. Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez said these policies have caused economic damages worth more than 1.1 trillion USD while the US isolation has made it difficult for Cuban people, especially children, to access medicines for some serious diseases.
