One of Vietnams’ major topics at the session is human rights in climate change. Vietnam, together with Bangladesh and the Philippines, co-organized the panel discussion on ensuring the rights of vulnerable groups in the context of climate change. They introduced a draft Resolution, focusing on food rights and climate change.
The resolution has been introduced annually by Vietnam, Bangladesh and the Philippines since 2014 for the Council to consider and approve with an annual focus on specific topics such as children's rights, health rights, rights of migrants, and women's rights in the context of climate change.
The 50th session of the UN Human Rights Council is scheduled to run until July 8.
