The approval by the UN Security Council’s North Korea Sanctions Committee will pave the way for UNICEF's provision of materials worth 1.48 million USD, including vaccine cold chain equipment, and ventilators and masks, according to a document posted on its website.
The exemptions were approved on Nov. 30 and will last for a year, the committee said. The items will be shipped via the Chinese port of Dalian to the North's western port of Nampo.
