(VOVWORLD) - The UN Human Rights Council has approved a resolution that calls for the protection of human rights from the impacts of climate change, coauthored by Vietnam.

Vietnam, the Philippines, and Bangladesh, proposed the resolution focusing on the impacts of climate change on cross-border emigrants’ rights, and countries’ policies in compliance with the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. 50 other countries have co-sponsored the resolution.
