UN praises photo exhibition on Vietnam’s culture, heritage

(VOVWORLD) - A photo exhibition called "Cultural colors: natural and cultural heritage in Vietnam" took place at UN headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland, on Monday.

At the opening ceremony, Ambassador Le Thi Tuyet Mai, Permanent Representative of Vietnam to the UN, the World Trade Organization, and other international organizations in Geneva, emphasized the significance of the exhibition, saying that it shows the profound connection between human rights and the preservation and development of cultural and natural heritage.

Mai expressed her hope that through the exhibition, international friends will better understand Vietnam’s cultural diversity, where 54 ethnic groups coexist harmoniously.

Tatiana Valovaya, General Director of UN Office in Geneva, said the exhibition provides a deep insight into the life of ethnic communities in Vietnam, reflects the enduring cultural values passed down through generations, highlights the development of unique cultural identities within these communities, and demonstrates Vietnam’s persistent efforts to preserve cultural heritage.
