UN praises Vietnam’s contribution to peacekeeping activities
(VOVWORLD) - A UN official has praised Vietnam’s contributions to the UN's peacekeeping activities, especially to the UN mission in South Sudan.

At a farewell meeting with Head of the Vietnamese Delegation to the UN Ambassador Dang Dinh Quy on Thursday, United Nations Under-Secretary-General for Peace Operations Jean Pierre Lacroix praised Vietnam’s enhancement of women’s participation in peacekeeping missions. He promised to work closely with Vietnam’s Ministry of National Defense to deploy Vietnamese officers to the United Nations Interim Security Force for Abyei (UNISFA).
He said he hoped Vietnam will contribute further to the UN peacekeeping activities. He promised to support Vietnam’s expansion of its mission and women participation in UN peacekeeping activities.
Ambassador Quy thanked the UN official and the UN for supporting Vietnam and said Vietnam will do its best to contribute to the UN peacekeeping activities.
