(VOVWORLD) - Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko and UN Chief Antonio Guterres met in Kiev on Sunday to discuss the UN’s increasing role in addressing the conflict in eastern Ukraine.

Poroshenko told reporters that they had had open talks. Guterres promised the UN’s support for the Normandy quartet, consisting of Ukraine, Russia, Germany, and France, and for those who have fled their homes because of the crisis.
