(VOVworld) The UN Security Council is expected to vote later on Saturday on a new draft resolution in a hope to put an end to the on-going violence in Syria, according to a Washinton-based VOV reporter. The draft resolution is revised following Iran’s objection. It will be sent to 15 member countries of the UN Security Council for consideration and it is not clear whether they will adopt it. On Thursday, the UN Security Council failed to reach a consensus on the resolution backing an Arab League peace plan for Syria. Russia has objected to earlier versions of the text, which imply the change of the system or the allowance of external arm forces’ interference into Syria’s internal affairs.
