She noted that Vietnam needs to continue to invest in, maintain, and renew natural resources to renew natural resources to ensure sustainable development.

Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Le Minh Hoan said the Prime Minister has approved a Strategy for Sustainable Agriculture and Rural Development until 2030 with vision to 2050, which focuses on ecological agriculture, modern rural areas, and smart farmers.

The strategy encourages a transition from agricultural production thinking to agricultural economic thinking, Mr. Hoan said: “I hope the co-management model in natural resources will be duplicated in other sectors to boost the agriculture, forestry, and seafood value chain to meet the goal of economic development, improve people’s lives, and protect natural resources. It is essential to work together to realize our plans, strategies, and international commitments. We hope domestic and foreign partners, the private sector, and localities will join us in this effort.”
