US calls for increased petroleum output worldwide
(VOVWORLD) - The Biden administration has called on all petroleum suppliers around the globe, including OPEC, to increase production to restrain the price escalation.

Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm said Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union” that President Biden will discuss energy issues with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman during his upcoming trip to Saudi Arabia.
Biden has asked the chief executives of the world’s largest oil companies to boost supplies of gas and diesel.
He said his administration is prepared to use all reasonable and appropriate Federal Government tools and emergency authority to increase refinery capacity and output in the near term.
