US, China to hold trade talks in Beijing next week
(VOVWORLD) - The United States and China will hold the face-to-face talks in Beijing next Monday and Tuesday, a communique of Chinese Commerce Ministry said Friday.
The vice-ministerial-level talks will be the first direct working talks since US President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping agreed on a cease-fire in the trade war last month. The communique said a working team led by Deputy US Trade Representative Jeffrey Gerrish will visit China next week to discuss “implementing the important consensus” reached by the two presidents at the sidelines of the G20 summit in Argentina last year.
