US denies Russians visas to travel to APEC meeting: Russian Ambassador
(VOVWORLD) - Russia’s ambassador to the United States said on Monday the US denied entry visas to some Russian officials who planned to travel to Seattle for a meeting of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC).

“Entry visas for officials from several ministries and government bodies were not issued,” Ambassador Anatoly Antonov said.
Russia also noted a growing number of cases of denial of the opportunity to participate in important meetings in an online format, he said.
The diplomat pointed out that the upcoming APEC summit in San Francisco in November is also a matter of serious concern, insisting that Russian representatives be granted all entry permits to the US within the indicated timeframe.
