(VOVworld) – Donald Trump won presidential primaries in Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Delaware, Rhode Island, and Maryland on Tuesday, another big step toward the Republican Party nomination for the general election in November.

Hillary Clinton won primaries in Maryland, Delaware, Connecticut, and Pennsylvania, but lost in Rhode Island. Clinton’s convincing victories solidify her status as front-runner in the Democratic race.
Mrs. Clinton has 2,137 delegates of the 2,383 delegates needed to win the Democratic nomination. Mr. Trump has 920 delegates of the 1,237 delegates needed to win the Republican nomination.
