(VOVworld) – US Secretary of State John Kerry will arrive in Georgia and Ukraine before attending this week’s NATO summit in Warsaw.

Kerry will meet with Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili, President Giorgi Margvelashvili, and opposition leaders. He will express US support for Georgia’s “Euro-Atlantic aspirations” in a nod to Georgia’s NATO and EU ambitions.
Kerry will also fly to Kiev to meet President Petro Poroshenko and Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman to discuss attempts to broker a settlement in eastern Ukraine.
The two-day 2016 NATO summit will take place on July 8th in Warsaw. US President Barack Obama will also attend the event.
