Earlier, an FBI team was sent to help Lebanon probe a car bombing which killed 130 people. Washington condemned the blast as a terrorist strike but said it would wait for the results of the investigation before making any further response. The security situation in Lebanon has deteriorated quickly since the bombing. Protests in Beirut and other cities in Lebanon have demanded the resignation of Prime Minister Najib Mikati. Beirut has strengthened its military force to ensure security.
