(VOVworld)- The U.S. House of Representatives has approved a bill to help fight the Zika virus. The measure provides financial incentives to companies developing treatments for the virus.

President Obama is expected to move forward with the bill. This comes just days after federal health officials warned that the virus is much worse than they had initially thought. Zika is linked to the birth defect microcephaly, and now researchers say the virus could also cause neurological damage in adults.
