(VOVworld)- The US, Japan and the Republic of Korea have planned to hold trilateral talks on Tuesday in Seoul amidst escalating tension in the Korean peninsula and signs of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea’s 5^th nuclear test.

High on the agenda will be measures to deal with Pyongyang’s moves following its 4^th nuclear test in January and several rocket firings. The three countries are also expected to discuss the implementation of the UN sanctions against DPRK and issue strong warnings to Pyongyang that any provocative acts will face more serious punishment from the international community
