In their recent working session with the Vietnamese Embassy in the US, the officials said the US is always ready to work with Vietnam and other ASEAN countries to fight Covid-19. 

The US Department of Health and Human Services hailed Vietnamese leaders, from central to grassroots level, for their prompt directions and drastic, thorough measures to prevent the spread of the deadly virus, especially to raise public awareness of precautions. It also spoke highly of Vietnam’s healthcare facilities and vaccination program.

The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) plans to send a mission to Vietnam next month to enhance cooperation and discuss the establishment of a regional CDC office in Vietnam. The US’s International Reagent Resources (IRR) will share with Vietnam its studies on Covid-19 and send experts, test kits, and protective clothes to help Vietnam increase epidemic prevention capacity.
