US military to maintain open-ended presence in Syria
(VOVWORLD) - US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson on Wednesday at Stanford University gave a rundown of the United States' work in stabilizing Syria.

Staying in Syria will help ensure that the Trump administration does not repeat what he described as the mistakes of early troop withdrawal from Iraq. He counted on maintaining an American military presence in Syria until the full and complete defeat of ISIS is achieved.He said that the US intends to maintain an open-ended military presence in Syria, while a stable, unified and independent Syria ultimately requires post-Assad leadership in order to be successful.
