US not planning to relax enforcement of Iran sanctions
(VOVWORLD) - The US is not planning to relax enforcement of sanctions against Iran, including the foreign terrorist organizations (FTO) designations and sanctions on the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), State Department spokesman Ned Price said on Monday.
He said the only way to resurrect the 2015 Iran nuclear agreement is for Tehran to drop its “extraneous demands”. Price also added that Washington believes anything that can be negotiated has been done already.
The same day, an EU official said Iran responded to the European Union's "final" draft text to save the 2015 nuclear deal on Monday but provided no details. Meanwhile, the Iranian foreign minister called on the US to show flexibility to resolve remaining issues.
