(VOVworld) – US President Barack Obama met with new Saudi Arabian King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud on Tuesday to discuss joint efforts against the Islamic State. The two leaders talked about the need to continue providing aid to the Syrian opposition forces, Iraq’s unification, and world energy and oil markets, but they didn't mention oil prices.

This is the first US-Saudi Arabia summit since King Salman took over from his brother King Abdullah, who died on Friday.
