(VOVworld) – US President Barack Obama on Thursday signed a bill authorizing aid for Ukraine and imposing sanctions against Russia for its Crimea annexation.

The White House announced a one-billion-USD loan and sanctions against individuals in Russia. The AP news agency said several senators urged President Obama to do more, including increasing gas exports to Europe. Russian media said Russian security forces captured 25 Ukrainians suspected of conducting terrorist acts of sabotage in Russian territory. These individuals confessed that they were directed by Ukraine’s Security Service (SBU) to take pictures of locations and movements of Russian military vehicles near the Ukraine border and connect with Russian dissidents.
