Trump said the US loses 600-800 billion USD a year on trade, 500 billion USD with China, adding that the US will not be doing that anymore. This comes in the wake of Trump toughening his stance in the US-China trade dispute after months of negotiations. The US has delayed enforcing increased tariffs on Chinese imports announced in March.

Trump said he is not satisfied with the pace of negotiations, warning that he will raise tariffs on Friday on an additional 200 billion USD worth of Chinese goods to 25% from the current 10%.
