US President Joe Biden leaves Hanoi, concluding State visit to Vietnam
(VOVWORLD) - US President Joe Biden left Hanoi on Monday afternoon, concluding his State visit to Vietnam from September 10 to September 11 at the invitation of General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Nguyen Phu Trong.

During the visit, President Biden attended the welcome ceremony and held talks with Party leader Nguyen Phu Trong and met President Vo Van Thuong, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, and National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue. The two countries issued a Joint Statement elevating bilateral ties to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership for peace, cooperation and sustainable development.
Before leaving Hanoi, President Biden and the high-ranking delegation of the US laid a wreath at memorial of Senator John McCain, who bridged the Vietnam-US relations.
