President Biden and Prime Minister Kristersson will review the two countries growing security cooperation and reaffirm their view that Sweden should join NATO as soon as possible.
The leaders will discuss the Russia-Ukraine conflict and closer transatlantic coordination on the People’s Republic of China. They will also talk about their close coordination on addressing climate change as well as new and emerging technologies.
Last May, Sweden submitted a bid to join NATO. But the membership approval process which needs approval of 31 member countries has been opposed by Turkey and Hungary.
