(VOVworld) - President Donald Trump signed a new executive order Monday that keeps a 90-day ban on travel to the US by citizens of six Muslim-majority countries, but drops Iraq from the order he signed in January.

White House spokeswoman Sarah Huckabee Sander said the new ban will take effect next Thursday, replacing the previous order that was blocked by federal courts.

A US official added that Iraq was removed from the list because its Government has tightened visa screening and data sharing and is working with the US in countering Islamic State militants.

The same day, House Republicans introduced a new Affordable Care Act to replace Obamacare.
