On Wednesday, Obama accused House of Representatives Republicans of apparent preference of the status quo of an inefficient immigration system to a meaningful reform. He called for an early adoption of the bill. Obama’s plea was repeated during his meeting with House Majority Leader Eric Cantor the same day.

Cantor responded to the call that after five years in power, Obama still has not learned how to effectively work with Congress to get things done.

The immigration reform bill, though passed by the Senate in last June, has remained stalled in the Republican-led House. Arguments are most fierce around security control along the border where millions of immigrants can work and become US citizens without legal documents. A number of Republicans asked the government to clamp down illegal border entries and ferret out undocumented residents.
