US renews offer to cooperate with Russia on Syria
(VOVWORLD) - US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson said Wednesday that the US is open to establishing no-fly zones in Syria in coordination with Russia and jointly setting up a truce monitoring and humanitarian aid delivery mechanism.

The statement came as President Donald Trump prepared to meet with President Vladimir Putin on Friday on the sidelines of the G20 summit in Germany. Tillerson noted that the US and Russia have a number of unresolved differences but they have the potential to create stability in Syria.
