US repeats request for more money for US troops in South Korea
(VOVWORLD) - The US Ambassador to South Korea Harry Harris has asked South Korea to pay significantly more for American soldiers stationed in South Korea (USFK), Yonhap News said on Tuesday.

This renews a demand Harris made last December that both sides promptly sign a special agreement to share military expenses.
Ambassador Harris told South Korean security advisor Chung Eui-yong that if the request is not answered, the US may have to reconsider the South Korea-US Mutual Defense Treaty signed in October 1953.
