(VOVworld) – The US and Russian militaries will hold talks to ensure their forces do not come into conflict in Syria, following Russian air strikes.

During a meeting between Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and US Secretary of State John Kerry at the UN Headquarters in New York, Mr. Lavrov said comprehensive access is needed to fight IS in Syria and Iraq and that it is essential to cooperate with legal authorities in those countries.
Mr. Lavrov said Moscow is drafting a Security Council resolution to promote cooperation in the fight against IS and other terrorist groups in the Middle East.
