(VOVworld)- US Secretary of State John Kerry visited the Middle East on Thursday to push the peace talks which are happening quite slowly between Israel and Palestine. During his 9^th visit to the Middle East since the beginning of this year, Kerry is expected to hold seperate talks with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on details of Kerry’s security plan, which has been rejected by Palestine. During his last visit in November, Kerry suggested a plan to settle security in Jordan valley between the West Bank and Jordan, in exchange for peace and a city status for Jerusalem. However, Palestine has refused this proposal, describing it as unilateral, which could lead to Israel’s continued occupation of Palestinian territory.
