US to give global bodies additional 580 million USD in COVID-19 aid
(VOVWORLD) - The US plans to give seven global bodies, including the WHO and UNICEF, an additional 580 million USD to support the COVID-19 struggle as Omicron infections soar.

This additional funding means the US has provided more than 19.6 billion USD to its partners to fight the virus and its impacts.
According to US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, the US has donated more than 330 million safe and effective vaccine doses to countries worldwide. The additional 580 million USD will fund vaccination rollouts, strengthen community health, and aid vulnerable communities.
