US to send 450 million USD in security aid to Ukraine in latest package
(VOVWORLD) - The United States will provide an additional 450 million USD in security assistance to Ukraine, including more long-range rocket systems, US officials said on Thursday.
In a statement, the Pentagon said the package would be valued at up to 450 million USD and include four additional High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems (HIMARS), 18 patrol boats and thousands of rounds of ammunition.
Since Russia's military operation in Ukraine in February, President Joe Biden's administration has provided 6.1 billion USD in security assistance to Ukraine.
