(VOVworld) – Brexit has forced the UK to broaden its relations and join more multilateral trade deals, for example the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) agreement. US Trade Representative Michael Froman said on Wednesday that the idea of the UK joining the completed trade deal that is awaiting approval by the U.S. Congress is one of "multiple ideas" circulating for a new US trade relationship with the UK.

Regarding Britain's referendum to leave the EU, Froman said that it would not slow down talks with the EU towards the Trans-Atlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP). He added that it’s hard for the US to work separately with the UK on a bilateral deal.
