US vows to isolate Taliban if they take power by force
(VOVWORLD) - A US peace envoy brought a warning to the Taliban on Friday that any government that comes to power through force in Afghanistan won’t be recognized internationally.

Zalmay Khalilzad, the US envoy, traveled to Doha, Qatar, where the Taliban maintain a political office, hoped to persuade Taliban leaders to return to peace talks with the Afghan government as American and NATO forces finish their pullout from the country.
The UN Secretary-General on Friday called on Taliban militants to “immediately halt” their offensive against government forces and said the country largely spinning out of control.
British Prime Minister Boris Johnson convened an emergency meeting on Friday afternoon to discuss the situation in Afghanistan after the US withdrew the troops out of this country.
Many European countries have decided to close their representative offices and evacuate their citizens out of Afghanistan. France's foreign ministry on Friday reiterated a call for French citizens to leave Afghanistan as soon as possible.
German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas said on Friday that Germany would reduce its embassy staff in Kabul to the bare minimum and increase security measures at the compound.
