US-China trade ties progress following talks
(VOVWORLD) - China has pledged to purchase a substantial amount of agricultural, energy, and manufactured goods and services from the US, the US Trade Representative Office announced Wednesday following China-US trade talks in Beijing.

In a statement that gave no specific details of the outcome of three days of talks this week, the Trade Representative said that US and Chinese officials discussed "ways to achieve fairness, reciprocity and balance in trade relations." The Trade Representative said the two sides also discussed intellectual property protections.
