US-North Korea to begin high-level meeting
(VOVWORLD) - North Korea's lead negotiator in nuclear talks with the United States, Kim Yong Chol, is expected to arrive in Washington on Thursday, a potential sign the two countries are getting closer to finalizing plans for a second summit between President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.

Kim Yong Chol is expected to arrive in the US capital Thursday and meet US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo on Friday to discuss preparations for the 2nd US-North Korea summit. It’s said that Kim will deliver a letter from leader Kim Jong-un to President Donald Trump.
Vice President Mike Pence said while President Trump begins preparations for a potential meeting with the North Korean leader, the US is waiting for Pyongyang to take specific steps on denuclearization.
