Venezuela cherishes President Ho Chi Minh’s legacy, says Deputy PM
(VOVWORLD) - Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang on Wednesday offered flowers in memory of President Ho Chi Minh at the Ho Chi Minh Monument on Simón Bolívar Avenue in Caracas the first action by Mr. Quang during his official visit to Venezuela from Wednesday to Friday.

At the ceremony, the Deputy Prime Minister said the Ho Chi Minh Monument in Caracas reflects the former President’s prestige and stature in Venezuela and the Venezuelan people’s respect and love for him. Quang thanked the Venezuelan Government and Caracas authorities, the PSUV Party, and the Venezuelan people for supporting the construction and preservation of the monument.
He said the Vietnamese delegation visiting Venezuela this time hopes to deepen Vietnam’s friendship and cooperation with Venezuela, and contribute to peace, cooperation, development, and progress around the world.
Venezuelan Deputy Foreign Minister Tatiana Pugh Moreno said Venezuela cherishes the image, career and legacy of President Ho Chi Minh. Moreno, who used to be Venezuela's Ambassador to Vietnam, expressed admiration for Vietnam's development and reaffirmed Venezuela’s affection for, solidarity with, and understanding of Vietnam. She said she hopes the relationship will continue to flourish.
The same day, Deputy Prime Minister Quang visited and talked with the officials and staff of the Vietnamese Embassy in Venezuela and laid flowers at the Cuartel de la Montaña Memorial, the resting place of the late President Hugo Chávez Frías.
