Chien said this year's celebration will take place amid a still-dangerous pandemic. He called on all people nationwide, regardless of social strata, age, gender, ethnicity, or religion to unite in fighting the epidemic.
He highlighted the contributions made by Christians who have voluntarily worked on the frontline, donated to the Vaccine Fund, and shared tens of thousands of tons of food, medical equipment, and other necessities.
The VFF President praised the contributions of Catholics and Protestants to the great national unity, adding that Christians in Vietnam support the tradition of patriotism, support the nation, support the fight against the coronavirus in a spirit of "Safe adaptation, flexibility, and effective control of the COVID-19" to sustain socio-economic development.
