(VOVWORLD) -Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Tong Thi Phong attended separate meetings with legislative leaders of Laos, Thailand and Cambodia during her participation in the Executive Board of the 38th General Assembly of the ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA-38) in Manila, the Philippines.

In a meeting with Laos National Assembly Chairwoman Pany Yathotou, both agreed to promote cooperation in public debt and land management. In a working session with President of the Thai National Legislative Assembly of Thailand Pornpetch Wichitcholchai , the Vietnamese National Assembly Vice Chairwoman wished to promote ties in parliamentarian friendship and exchanges, especially among friendship groups. In a meeting with Cambodian Chairman of the National Assembly, Samdech Heng Samrin, Ms Phong called for more friendship and cooperation exchanges between youth and women unions. She conveyed an invitation to Prime Minister Hun Sen to attend the APEC Summit in Da Nang this November and the Cambodian National Assembly Chairman to attend the 26th Asia Pacific Parliamentary Forum in Hanoi next January.
