(VOV) – Vietnam attaches great importance to cooperation with Japan. Vice President Nguyen Thi Doan, who is attending the Future of Asia Conference in Japan’s capital of Tokyo from today, made the statement while receiving Takashi Kawamura, Nagoya Mayor in Tokyo yesterday. Japan is Vietnam’s biggest trading partner with two-way turnover reaching more than 20 billion USD per year. Ms. Doan expressed her hope that Nagoya will soon establish relations with a Vietnamese locality to mark Vietnam-Japan Friendship Year next year. The establishment will contribute to the further development of the two countries’ comprehensive cooperation. On the same day, the Vice President visited Toyota Commemorative Museum of Industry and Technology, the staff of the Vietnamese Embassy, and Vietnamese students who are studying in Japan.
