At a working session with provincial leaders the same day, Ms. Thinh urged the leaders to continue storm recovery efforts and help affected residents quickly stabilise their lives and production.

Vice President Thinh applauded Thanh Hoa’s rapid socio-economic development and called on the province to show solidarity in its effort to develop rapidly and sustainably.

The provincial People’s Committee reported that this year’s third tropical storm left 10 people dead, six missing, and five others injured, destroyed 80 houses and nearly 350 hectares of rice and other crops, causing sustantial economic losses.
