(VOVworld) – Vice President Nguyen Thi Doan received 41 of the soldiers from Vinh Phuc province who fought in the 81 days and nights in 1972 to defend the Quang Tri citadel.

She paid her tribute to their contributions to Vietnam’s liberation and hoped that the Vinh Phuc and Quang Tri associations of soldiers who fought during that period would continue to support their members. She also hoped that the former soldiers would help their local governments and contribute to national development.
