(VOVWORLD) - Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan hosted a reception for President of Ford Motor’s International Markets Group Kay Hart in Hanoi on Wednesday, during which she proposed the US company consider expanding investment cooperation in Vietnam.

Vice President Xuan said that officially upgrading the Vietnam and US relationship to a comprehensive strategic partnership last year has created a great opportunity to promote bilateral cooperation in all areas, including economics, trade, and investment.
Vietnamese and US businesses, such as Ford Group, are honoring the commitments of the two countries’ leaders. She expressed her hope that Ford Group will work with Vietnam in innovating technology, training local human resources, and digital and green transformation.
Kay Hart said Vietnam is one of the key markets of Ford Motor globally. She pledged to continue expanding and developing new products and technologies in Vietnam.
Ford Group invests about 208 million USD and creates 5,000 jobs annually in Vietnam.
