Vice State President visits Dien Bien province
(VOVworld) – Vice State President Nguyen Thi Doan has praised Dien Bien province’s socio-economic achievements over the past years, urging the local authorities to take advantage of the province’s potential for further development in the future while fulfilling security and defense tasks. Ms. Doan is on a two-day working visit to Dien Bien province, starting on Wednesday, where she called for the best preparation of activities to mark the 60th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu victory.
Marking the occasion, Ms. Doan offered incense to the fallen soldiers at Hill A1’s Martyr Cemetery. She also visited and presented gifts to 60 families and Dien Bien soldiers who had rendered great services to the nation during the Dien Bien Phu campaign. She also presented around 75,000 USD to the provincial Children Protection Fund to build two pre-schools in Tua Chua and Muong Ang districts.
