Addressing the ceremony in Viet Yen, Chairman Hue emphasized that the town establishment is an important premise to promote economic development and improve the people’s life.

The event has historical significance as it marks a new milestone for Bac Giang province on the path of development and integration and boosts industrialization and modernization, he said.

The top legislator asked Viet Yen to continue to unlock the locality's internal resources, potential and strengths, maximize advantages of geographical location and historical-cultural landscape, mobilize and effectively use resources, especially high-quality human resources in State management, business management, science and technology.

He urged Bac Giang to pay special attention to mapping out plans and schemes for arranging administrative units, ensuring their compliance with planning, meeting standards on natural area, population size, and urban quality.
